Made of only the highest quality materials, Sun Ballast ballasts ensure the highest level of strength and reliability for PV systems on flat roofs.The one visible in the photo was installed in Austria by our client Elektroinstallationen Medved&Troll using Sun Ballast’s Single-Row 10° system.

Due to its great simplicity, this system allows installations to be carried out quickly and easily on any type of flat roofing, from small residential gravel surfaces to flat sheathing roofs of industrial buildings and commercial establishments. In fact, the possibility of adjusting both the length and the distance between rows of PV panels makes it easy to adapt the PV system configuration according to the characteristics of the roof, managing any obstacles (chimneys, skylights, etc.) in the best possible way and reducing installation time and costs.

To also ensure maximum resilience to wind and snow loads, two important accessories have been added to the Single-row system, the additional “U” weights and the Cablowind system. If the former are placed directly on the structure (without any holes) acting as reinforcement for the stability of the installation, the latter combines two different functions in a single accessory: in fact, the Cablowind system – placed linearly on the back of the ballasts – acts both as an additional weight and as a channel for electrical cables, further increasing wind resistance, balancing the distribution of loads and offering the installation the highest level of order and professionalism.
