Installing a photovoltaic system on a green roof is definitely a huge advantage for solar panels. It has been shown that a green roof can keep the temperature of the panels lower and make them more efficient even in unfavourable conditions.
Installations on this particular type of surfaces, however, are not problem-free. For example, uneven ground can limit the possibility of installing traditional photovoltaic systems. The Sun Ballast system not only fits perfectly to any surface since the ballasts do not need to be fixed, but they are also extremely stable even on terrain that is not perfectly flat.
For this installation, our customer Aneo has chosen to use the ballasts of the Standard system with an inclination of 30°. This high inclination allows the plants beneath the panels to grow normally, without hindering energy production.
Thanks to this solution it was possible to build a 3 kWp photovoltaic system quickly and easily.
