Simple, sturdy, and fast to install: this 6 kWp photovoltaic system on a flat roof was built using Sun Ballast’s Single-Row system, a practical and versatile solution that allows for rapid installations on any type of flat surface such as membranes, gravel, and pavements. The system shown in the photo was installed by our client Solar Projet in Mollans-sur-Ouvèze, France, using the 15° inclination version: the photovoltaic weights that make up the Single-Row systems are available in a wide range of models (from 0° to 30°) and do not require any fixing holes on the roof.

Even in the presence of gravel, Sun Ballast’s structures for photovoltaic panels can simply be placed, reducing installation times while ensuring the highest level of resistance to weather conditions. The concrete weights also allow for the attachment of modules both horizontally and vertically, and offer the flexibility to freely adjust not only the length of the rows but also the distance between them. This makes the installation of the structures much simpler and faster, even on roofs with numerous obstacles such as chimneys, fans, and skylights.

The Single-Row system is compatible with various Sun Ballast accessories: in the photo, you can see both the additional U-Block weights and the Cablowind system, and thanks to the integration of these elements, the wind resistance of the system was further increased. For example, Cablowind is attached (without drilling) to the back of the structures thanks to the pre-inserted bushings in the weights, combining both the function of additional weight and cable channeling into a single element, increasing stability and improving the order and aesthetic appearance of the installation.
